And now to the cosmic news. It’s Sunday afternoon and I meet my astrology study group on Zoom. We’ve been sharing each other’s lives and charts for over twenty years and today Nancy says, “we must look at Musk’s chart. When the president of Argentina gave him a glittery chainsaw and he put on a show, I thought we must check it out.” So we do; and because I can’t get a full picture without looking at progressions, I pull them up too and then I see it.
“WowWee!” I enthuse. As I point out what I see, the others fall silent in shock and dawning awareness. Musk’s progressed chart shows why he is in every American home. Let me tell you what I saw and then we’ll get to March.
An individual’s progressed chart reveals one’s personal, even secret journey. It’s one’s evolutionary path; the mysterious inner workings of the planets that tell me the other half of the story, beyond transits. Here’s what I saw: Musk is in the part of the progressed cycle that indicates the end, finito, it’s over. A fresh beginning will occur within the month, but now, it’s the end.
He enters every American home – his progressed Sun and Moon are conjunct at the “void” moment (the very end and very beginning of another thirty-year cycle for him) and they are EXACTLY OPPOSITE the Moon for the USA. In other words – there’s a direct connection between Musk and Americans.
Here are the details: Musk’s progressed Sun and Moon are at 27° and 26° Leo and the Moon for the USA is 27° Aquarius. The Moon represents the people, the public. Leo is drama, entertainment, and royalty. Musk is having fun! He’s in a show! He’s acting on the King’s instructions, and he is a royal person too, experiencing the close-to-final degrees of Leo. He wants to be seen on the biggest stage possible. He’s a giant head on a screen. He’s a smiling demi-God with more money than anyone else, and he is beaming himself, literally, through every available device into every American (and global) mind.
Here’s the thing – that part of the progressed cycle is deeply unconscious. This month, his Moon is just behind the Sun, pulling into the vibrancy of death. Elon is not aware of the deeper aspects of himself. Furthermore, Elon’s progressed Sun and Moon connect tightly with Trump’s Leo Mars and ascendent so that Elon’s unconscious has been permeated by the strong will of Trump.
My colleague Cassandra said this when I sent her what you’re reading now: “That “0” point is a veritable Black Hole, the void space between what was and what MAY be. A deeply discombobulating experience for even the most “aware” person…. Imagine the private trauma for someone who has little depth of self-knowledge!”
Later, when the chaos clears and Musk’s show is over, within the next several years or so, (maybe as soon as a year when his progressed Moon conjuncts his natal Moon he’ll get a glimmer); he’ll be “reborn”. At that time, he’ll be able to see glimpses of himself. He will shake his head and wonder what happened. In the meantime, he’s our scary unconscious comic relief.
We the people are the intended audience. We work in the government; we take care of the weak and vulnerable (some of us are the weak and vulnerable!); we measure water and air quality; we invent things and prevent disease where possible. That’s what Musk is taking a chain saw to. All Americans would like to see efficient use of our tax dollars, but wouldn’t thoughtful use of a scalpel be better?
Donald and Elon share many astrological features, tight conjunctions and oppositions drawing them together and putting them on the same page, so to speak; at least for now. One of the things they share is a proclivity for shock and awe. They are both Uranians; in other words — shit-stirrers, rebels, mad scientists, and outlaws. Uranus has a lot to do with brilliance, it’s the Promethean factor. It’s controversial and fits in no box anywhere. As we can see! Uranus comes on strong, wreaking havoc and great change and just as suddenly can disappear (and reappear). Speaking of which, things look dangerous for Trump in early April.
Remember, we’re now in the Pluto in Aquarius years – this was the energy that accompanied the French Revolution when the elite were so disconnected from the starving masses they were beheaded by them.
By the way, Leo also has a lot to do with hair – and I had to laugh when I saw the Argentinian Persident’s coif! Oh, my goodness, you can’t make this stuff up. Well, there you have it. There’s much, much more, like Musk’s progressed Venus is not far behind the balsamic Moon – his money and esteem are in this, headed for the blackness of endings, but I can’t go on. Here’s how March unfolds:
March is both a cosmic protest and a reflecting opportunity. Both Mercury and Venus retrograde and there are two eclipses, one lunar (release) and one solar (renewal); and cosmic drumroll please, Neptune enters Aries bringing a zeitgeist shift.
March 1st is full! It begins on the sweet murmurs of the recent Pisces New Moon and as Mercury and Neptune whisper together in Pisces, taking your intentions and prayers into the cosmos. Venus meets the Moon, look for them together this evening. Venus stations retrograde today, beginning her magical cycle of renewal by withdrawing her face and value from the world. This month she will disappear into the light of the Sun at evening time vanishing from our sight for three days. She emerges as a morning “star” from March 23rd on, depending on your horizon. She stations direct on April 12th.
Traditionally, Venus retrogrades have been associated with decreased value, and the loss of love and beauty — the world is so harsh she removes her benevolent presence from it. There’s truth to this, especially if we consider the lack of compassion in our country right now. Venus retrogrades are associated with things — shortages and high prices; as well as distance between lovers. If you do buy your big purchase or commit to your love, be sure that you can tolerate either product or person for the long term. What’s also true about these periods, is that they are excellent times to withdraw into your own value, to ponder and care for yourself – from your image to your spirit. This is because Venus is moving from Aries back into Pisces. Pace yourself and keep your compassion, no matter what, even when setting necessary boundaries.

March 2nd looks painful. The Moon meets Chiron in Aries and squares Mars, now direct in Cancer. Does isolating yourself really help? Are we really separate from one another? The Sun (authority) squares Jupiter (law). Things can feel over the top, OTT as my brother says.
Early on March 3rd, Mercury enters pioneering, lonely, independent, self-sufficient, innocent and sometimes self-absorbed Aries. Mercury will retrograde in Aries on March 15th and go back into Pisces – just like Venus does! It’s like there’s a future coming they don’t want to enter and so they go back for more spiritual strength. I’m going to “stock up” on spiritual vitality too! Mercury will turn direct (in Pisces) April 7th, a week before Venus does. Anyway, this is your opportunity to get back in touch with what means the most to you and to re-explore your programming so you can choose the truth of who you are – which is divine – over the layers of indoctrination. Remember what Bob said! “Free your mind from mental slavery.”
Sudden shifts in value, finances, weather on March 4th when the Moon meets Uranus in Taurus.
Look for the Moon/Jupiter conjunction in the night sky on March 5th and 6th. Mars is up there too. Moon and Jupiter meet in Gemini – loads of information comes through now. Write it down. Interactions with siblings and neighbors are likely. Practice good mental hygiene and protect your mental health.
The Moon enters Cancer on the 7th, bringing emotions to the surface, possibly much needed moisture here in the West as it harmonizes with the Pisces Sun and Saturn.
March 8th is an interesting day. There’s a type of painful endurance that is beneficial. It looks like the next stage of a healing process as the Moon meets Mars and both square Chiron and trine the Sun and Saturn. Think kind, firm, and long-term.
March 9th and energy builds as the Moon enters Leo and opposes Pluto. Oh oh. Power to the people? Power and the people? This is an opposition. Protests perchance?
March 10th feels like an alignment as all the pieces come together. Notice what’s happening. The Sun approaches Saturn, and Mercury meets Venus. Pay attention now to what you think and create – this is within degree of the Aries New Moon eclipse coming up on March 29th. The Leo Moon connects to Mercury and Venus, fiery in Aries. Connect with others, share your ideas if you like.
March 11th and Venus, currently retrograde, and Mercury, soon to be retrograde, come into a conjunction. What messages are being shared? What does your body whisper to you?
March 12th is the annual Sun/Saturn conjunction, this time in Pisces as Saturn is in this sign for about two and half years. This is a tough transit that could have a noble kind of dignity. It can be hard on the bones and skin and your reputation; certainly, the reputations of leaders everywhere.
March 13th and the Virgo Moon brings us to a point of efficient release. The eclipse is coming! The eclipse is coming! Get your act together to let go at a deep and necessary level. Keep things tidy!
March 14th is a Full Moon lunar eclipse at 23° 56’ Virgo in harmony with Uranus (which conjuncts the “bad” star Algol) The very next day Mercury turns retrograde at the New Moon eclipse point. The last time an eclipse was at this point was in March 2006 – think about what happened then?
Here are my thoughts on the chart of the eclipse:
Transiting Uranus sits at the top of Trump and Vance’s chart right now and is involved in this eclipse. There is likely to be some sudden change for them, and therefore all Americans. You know already about the loss of love and beauty with Venus currently retrograde, this could be a sudden difficult time. If we can use this eclipse as a clearing energy it will be good. Keep your body and mind in good shape. Avoid sugar and other things that aren’t good, but you crave anyway. With the Moon in Virgo and the Sun still conjunct Saturn in Pisces, your body could hurt. Perhaps you can choose to let go of anxiety and things that don’t serve you.
The fallout from the eclipse continues over the next few days March 15th – March 16th, as the Moon enters Libra and opposes Mercury, who turns retrograde on the 15th, retrograde Venus, and Chiron. There’s a lot of processing going on! Things are hurting and healing. Restore balance where possible.
March 17th through the 19th, feelings intensify as the Moon travels through deep Scorpio. The Sun connects with the north node, which represents the path we must take, and then connects with dreamy Neptune. We are learning a profound lesson right now. Transcendent feelings and experiences are possible.
The Sun enters Aries at the Vernal equinox in the early hours of March 20th. With the Moon optimistic in warm Sagittarius and in good angles with all the Aries, hope prevails once again, even if we have to look back (all the retrograde) to find it. Whispers of wisdom follow the Sun in the new life of Aries from Neptune lingering (not for long) in the last degrees of Pisces.

March 22nd and 23rd the Capricorn Moon brings sturdy endurance.
Also on the 22nd and 23rd – a magical mystical meeting between the Sun and Venus as she crosses him in her sacred retrograde journey from dark to light. Hallelujah praise the Goddess! You too can change.
March 24th, the Sun meets retrograde Mercury, and the Aquarian Moon meets Pluto. There is plenty to say!
March 25th and 26th, communication continues as the Moon connects favorably with Jupiter. The courts have something to say.
Retrograde Venus reenters Pisces early on March 27th and meets with Neptune once more. This feels like a return to spirit to me, like a blessing or benediction. Do what you can to add to the beauty of your life.
March 28th can be a gentle and loving time as the Moon wanes to darkness in Pisces, meeting with Neptune and Venus. It’s preparation for the intention you can set for tomorrow’s New Moon solar eclipse.
March 29th is the 9° Aries New Moon which happens to be a partial eclipse. This is the third time this month that this eclipse point has been highlighted. Do you have any points in your chart at this degree? If so, this may be an important year for you. This eclipse feels like a fresh start. Venus and Neptune are together practicing love and forgiveness – the two most powerful healing modalities on the planet – and here’s the thing – apply them to YOURSELF.
Mercury reenters Pisces shortly after the eclipse. Mercury meets with Neptune and it too receives important cosmic solace.
March 30th and the Moon meets Chiron bringing a tenderness to the birth we’ve all just experienced at the New Moon.
Cosmic drum roll please! Dreamy Neptune enters fiery Aries for the first time in 167 years on March 30th 2025! This brings a new energy. An entire new zeitgeist to the world and the human experience.
We wake on March 31st to a different reality. Perhaps it’s self-created, some healing you’ve been doing finally clicks into place and sets you free. Perhaps there’s a global shift away from the old and toward a clearer vision for humanity. Neptune will retrograde on July 4th and re-enter Pisces on October 23rd of this year. I’ll write more about Neptune in Aries in next month’s column but pay attention and see what you notice.
