Dear friends,

The effects of Pluto’s long sojourn in Capricorn is now crushingly evident. Though this slow-moving planet has already entered Aquarius, the sign of the people, the fallout of the last 16 years of Pluto shining its distant light upon the collapse of authoritarian rule worldwide is now visible. I both cringed and recoiled during the Presidential debate. Can you believe who we have! Is this the best we can do? Oh please, no!

Frankly, this is a very difficult time on planet Earth. Climate change, wars, ideological differences, rampant egos and terrifying greed are destroying peace and beauty everywhere, endangering the lives of innocent children, animals, and nature. Perhaps it’s time to change the type of government and leadership we’ve been a part of. That’s Pluto’s intent as it travels through Aquarius. Look at Libertarian leader Chase Oliver. He’s not typical! Here’s his take:

“Broadly speaking, liberty means the right and the ability to live your own life as you see fit, in peace,” he said. “If you’re not harming someone with force, fraud, coercion, theft or violence, if you’re not doing any of those bad things, your life is your life. Your body is your body. Your business is your business, and your property is your property. It’s not mine, and it’s not the government’s.” By the way, he’s gay and he smokes pot, a true Aquarian option? FYI, I don’t endorse him, he’s an example of the changing political landscape, as is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Both of these are highly unusual candidates. I DO endorse common sense, clean air and water, education for children, health care for all, sustainable/renewable energy and wilderness protections.

Okay, enough of politics. Let’s turn our attention to the development of the New Earth, which is what I believe, as do many, is the lifting of our consciousness above three dimensions to see the multi-dimensions in which we actually exist.

Here’s how the month of July rolls along and how it supports this unfurling toward light and peace.

The month opens with the prevailing energy of Cancer. This motherly sign invites us to take care of the root chakra of our existence – home, family, gardens, local community, water and all things associated with security. Supportive of this is both Saturn and Neptune in the fellow water sign of Pisces. Allow yourself to go with the flow as much as possible this month.

The month opens with some excitement. There’s energy in the air, communication and networking prevail under the waning Moon.

Early on July 2nd, little Mercury slips into vibrant Leo, infusing the airwaves with bravado. The next three weeks bring you plenty of opportunity for fun, creativity and play. Mercury will retrograde in August so pay attention to the details now. Political speeches become dramatic affairs and may be retracted during next month’s retrograde.

July 4th, Independence Day, the late degree Gemini Moon brings connection and conversation. This is reflected in the birthday chart (solar return) for the USA. This chart shows the bustling divisiveness of the American populace, centered on opinions. This chart also shows dominant ego-based rhetoric and with Mars opposite the Scorpio ascendent and in a lose conjunction with Uranus, we’re likely to see a contentious year. Our shared interests (it’s the economy silly) will unite most.

The Moon slips into Cancer later on the 4th and awaits its rebirth at the Cancer New Moon at 5pm on July 5th. This gentle lunation connects with what some call our “spiritual sun,” the fixed star Sirius. Not only does this sweet beginning activate the best in us, but it also invites collaboration with others. Community gardens and shared values unite us in ways that feel supportive and inclusive. Get with those you care about, do the things that mean something to you. Be gentle and kind. Spiritual support is all around. Your intention is everything! And really important because the fixed star Algol, which culminates at 18° Taurus will be activated by Mars at this New Moon. Algol has a bad rap, according to the Persians.

Look for an energy change on the 7th when the Moon enters the fire of Leo and connects with Mercury. Get creative! Don’t get dramatic, unless it’s on stage.

Late afternoon on the 9th the Moon helps you clean up spilled paint from your various projects when the Moon enters clinical Virgo.

On the 10th, the Moon opposes Saturn and brings the truth of karma to you.

The 11th is a big day. Lovely Venus leaves home-based Cancer for the bright stubborn creativity of Leo. Venus comes into a tight opposition with Pluto. What are your values? What’s your relationship with jealousy? Venus becomes an evening star, see her slowly, slowly, slowly over the next few weeks, as she reveals herself just behind the bright beams of the setting sun.

Also, on the 11th, practice forgiveness (always) as the Moon opposes Neptune. Guard your immune system. It’s a great day for a generous act of service.

July 12th through the 16th are tricky, possibly dangerous days. Mars approaches a conjunction with Uranus coming exact on the 14th and 15th. These planets are the traditional bad boys of the zodiac. Consider yourself warned! Use this time to push through on projects with safety first!

As if the 15th weren’t tricky enough, the fixed star Algol whose projected elliptical degree is 26° Taurus will be highlighted with both Mars and Uranus conjunct at that very same celestial address. Algol has a nasty reputation as being the loser of heads and associated with violent displays of nature. Say your prayers!

On the 16th, oy vey(!), possible emotional and literal storms as the Scorpio Moon opposes the Mars/Uranus conjunction (and Algol) releasing toxic emotions.

The 17th and 18th the light-hearted and opinionated Sagittarian Moon carries emotional fullness into philosophy. We look for the reasons, we seek the truth. Study and open your mind.

There’s a cosmic shift in energy on the 20th when Mars leaves the stubborn sensuality of Taurus for the alacrity of intellectual Gemini. Road trips and connections become alluring. Mars will connect with abundant Jupiter in mid-August ramping up the energy. Plan accordingly!

The waxing and pragmatic Capricorn Moon carries us through to the Capricorn Full Moon on the 21st. This Full Moon is at the last degree of Capricorn and is the second Capricorn Full Moon of the year. The cosmic focus on the sign of structure and authority is an invitation to explore possible alternatives to the status quo. The Full Moon connects with Pluto suggesting some kind of release, a reveal of a secret, a political power struggle. A deception may come to light as dreamy Neptune at the last degrees of Pisces, forms positive angels with the Sun and Moon. Call upon your angels. Set a high intention.

Shortly after the Full Moon, early morning of the 22nd, the Sun leaves feeling Cancer for willful Leo forming a harmonious angle with active Mars. Hopefully your feelings of empowerment are not swallowed up by loud political rhetoric. This Leo time brings strength and focus to your life, something we need during these tough times. The Sun opposes Pluto today – allow yourself to feel your personal power, your will, and the brightness of this cosmic activation. By the way, Mars will retrograde in December and take us into 2025 dragging our metaphorical heels. Pay attention to your actions. Be mindful.

Midway through the 23rd, the Moon leaves intellectual Aquarius for gentle Pisces and carries us through to midday on the 25th. During these two days we receive an understanding of karma and how to improve it as the Moon meets Saturn and then Neptune.

The afternoon of the 25th little Mercury leaves the playful messiness of Leo for the simplicity of Virgo. Mercury will retrograde back into Leo for most of August. Let go of ego patterns if you can. You are so much more than your false self!

The Moon travels through Aries the 25th to the 27th, bringing a fresh newness, or a sense of isolation. The Moon meets with sensitive Chiron bringing healing dreams the night of the 27th.

Things may feel more grounded as the Moon travels through Taurus from the 27th to the 29th with a few surprises thrown in as the Moon waves to liberating Uranus on the 29th.

The month finishes on a waning Gemini Moon with connections to active Mars and over-the-top Jupiter. Emotions and opinions are mercurial and loud. Use this time to connect the dots of your life. Adventure awaits! Enjoy yourself. We are truly discovering, or perhaps uncovering, the vibrations of love and truth that not only exist but form the foundation of life. Access that! Tune into that!

I’ll meet you back here in August where we’ll discuss the Mercury retrograde, the Leo New Moon and Aquarian Full Moon. And remember, you matter, we are connected, Earth is our home and love is our destination.

Dulce
