Greetings Earthlings,
Fasten your seatbelts! We’re in for a year of big changes. As if you didn’t already know that! I trust you have a good mindset going into 2025. We’re facing many, many challenges and our small personal problems pale in comparison to the huge global issues we’re embedded in. Perhaps your prayers and meditations can include the entire globe so that your efforts benefit all beings everywhere.
Here’s what 2025 looks like:
There are four eclipses this year. As you may recall, eclipses provide openings and closings, beginnings and endings. These occur in Virgo, Pisces and Aries. Virgo has a great deal to do with healing and order, while Pisces and Aries are about the end of things and the beginning of them. How does this apply to your life? Also ask yourself what was happening in your life in 2006? That’s the last time these eclipses were at those points.
March 14th is a total lunar eclipse (a release) at 24° Virgo. This is followed two weeks later by a partial solar eclipse (a beginning) at 9° Aries. On September 7th there’s another total lunar eclipse at 15° Pisces, and two weeks later, a partial solar eclipse at 29° Virgo. Check your chart to see if any of these eclipses are within 1° of any planets or angles; if they are, you’re looking at significant shifts this year; especially if 2006 was a big year for you.
This year Venus retrogrades withdrawing beauty and grace from the world, from March 1st to April 12th. That’s not a good time to marry, unless of course you’ve been together for years. Big purchases like houses, cars etc. may either be over or underpriced. Just be sure that you’re aesthetically attracted to the new thing, whether it’s a person or a product. If something bothers you at the get-go it won’t get any better under these skies. The good news about Venus retrograde is that it’s the perfect time to withdraw and reflect, to enhance your inner beauty and to linger in love.
Mercury retrogrades three times like usual. As always these are fabulous times to reflect, renew and reboot. Be sure to backup your computer before these events, just in case; especially when you read about Uranus entering Gemini (more anon). The Mercury retrograde dates are:
March 15th (the day after the lunar eclipse) to April 7th (just before Venus turns direct and Neptune enters Aries – more about that in a moment).
July 18th to August 11th
November 9th to November 29th (This includes Thanksgiving)
Major zeitgeist shifts this year too –
Dreamy, watery Neptune enters the dry fire sign of Aries bringing water issues to the foreground. Some astrologers are predicting more water, but I feel this could lead to water shortages, especially here in the west. Neptune enters Aries on March 30th giving us an opportunity for a new identity, a soft and fuzzy beginning of a new spirituality, and a different view of death. Neptune gets only 2° into Aries before turning retrograde on July 4th (a special day for Americans) and retrogrades back into Pisces on October 23rd.
On May 24th, stern Saturn also enters Aries, for the first time in 29 years. This begins the testing of all new forms and identities. This can feel like instant karma — do something and the feedback is instantaneous. Saturn retrogrades on July 13th and returns to Pisces on September 1st. Both Saturn and Neptune will re-enter Aries and travel together in 2026. As they cross into Aries that which has been hidden comes to light. Make sure you’re above board in all you do.
Another cosmic drumroll is due on June 9th when abundant Jupiter enters home-loving Cancer. This is an exalted placement for Jupiter and suggests a return to those things which bring a firm foundation. This also marks a Jupiter return for the USA and suggests big things for the country. Jupiter expands everything, as well as legal matters leading to changes or expansion of the judicial system. Cancer is a water sign, so I believe this is when big water, flooding etc. becomes more likely.
And with a barely a breather, innovative Uranus enters connecting Gemini on July 7th. This move increases our interactions with AI and brings accelerated energy to all technology, especially that associated with media. It’s going to be hard figuring out what’s true with every chatbot having an opinion. Ideas flow and art is revitalized, the mad genius prevails. Take care of your mental health. Aliens may openly visit us! Uranus retrogrades on September 6th.
2025 is the Chinese year of the Wood Snake. The snake is a sneaky creature and likes to keep secrets. It’s also enterprising and prosperous, looking deep into life’s meaning and taking note of how things work. How do you think this will work for you?
As you can see, there are indeed many, many changes this year and each one brings in a different set of circumstances or way of being. How adaptable are you? How adaptable are all the life forms on this beautiful planet? The esoteric science of Human Design speaks of the birth of a new kind of human around this time. Truly, everything is open to change, including our stuck habits.
January sets the tone for the year ahead; it begins with Mars and Pluto in opposition – a feisty fighting spirit that is also stubborn. What are you holding onto?
I’m using the Mars retrograde to go back to a couple of things. My website is being redesigned and will be fully up to date soon! Also, I’m teaching again! Come visit me at Bee True To You Yoga studio in Ridgway on January 24th as I share your evolutionary journey with you.
And finally, the book I wrote seven years ago is coming to print! You’ll be able to buy it as soon as Jupiter turns direct in early February. https://www.astrologybydulce.com/journey-series/

Here’s how the month rolls along:
January 1st, 2025 New Year’s Day, begins on the heels of the Capricorn New Moon on December 30th, 2024. We’re starting off with the energy building toward social concerns as the Aquarian Moon meets with Pluto and opposes Mars. Get rid of petty irritations with a good sweaty workout or hike.
January 2nd, and gracious Venus enters gentle Pisces bringing compassion and forgiveness to your heart. Venus will stay in Pisces until February 4th, the same day Jupiter goes direct, and my book is released. It’ll be available on Amazon. More info is found here: https://www.astrologybydulce.com/journey-series/
The sweet Pisces Moon meets Venus on the 3rd, Saturn on the 4th, and Neptune on the 5th. That’s a lot of lunar messages. Pay attention to your dreams and don’t take things too hard.
Early on January 6th, Mars re-enters Cancer bringing a feeling of protection and defense; and at best, loving self- nurturing. Mars will turn direct in Cancer on February 23rd. Also on the 6th, the Aries Moon meets Chiron – it’s best not to take anything personally.
January 7th, listen to the still small voice within as today Mercury crosses the Galactic Center bringing you wisdom from afar.
Early on January 8th, Mercury enters Capricorn and helps you get focused on your business and your goals. It’s time to take your plans seriously.
January 9th and the Taurus Moon meets Uranus for unexpected shifts. Perhaps big weather rolls in. Financial markets reflect changes in value.
On the 10th, try not to make mountains out of molehills when the Gemini Moon meets big Jupiter. Everyone has an opinion! On the plus side, you could learn something new and interesting.
On the 11th, keep connecting the dots and integrating what you know as the Moon continues on through Gemini.
On the 12th, the Moon enters emotional Cancer and prepares to meet Mars the next day at the first Full Moon of the year. Can you feel the energy building?
The Cancer Full Moon on January 13th is quite the lunation! Feisty, unpredictable and full of unexpected information it’s a good time to stay grounded! The Sun trines Uranus, which in turn sextiles the Moon and Mars, oh my! If you’ve been at an impasse with something or someone, stay open for a sudden breakthrough.
The 14th through the 15th, the Leo Moon carries the drama of the recent Full Moon on a wave of expression. Again, this is a good opportunity to not blow things out of proportion.
On the 16th, the Virgo Moon helps you reorganize and catch up to yourself.
January 17th gentle Venus in soft Pisces meets the lord of karma – Saturn himself. Relationships are tested. Sadness is possible but hopefully relationships are strengthened over the next few days. Venus comes into an exact conjunction with Saturn on January 19th.
January 20th, Inauguration Day in the USA and the Sun enters Aquarius and meets Pluto, the planet of transformation the very same time Venus and Saturn connect. The Sun represents authority, in this case Donald Trump, while Pluto’s presence signifies intensity and power. This is an amazing chart! It speaks to the vitality of Pluto in Aquarius, which I’ve written about in previous blogs. This is reminiscent of the French Revolution where power shifts to the people. Look at what’s happening around the world as the power at the top loses control to the cries and outrage of the people. The Sun and Pluto conjunct exactly bring a sense of personal power, possible outrage, and a very real sense of the changing times. The Libra Moon brings a sense of equilibrium over the next few days.
The 21st to the 23rd the waning Scorpio Moon feels intense and exacerbates the effects of the Sun/Pluto conjunction. The election of Donald Trump to the most powerful country in the world changes the nature of the political, economic and environmental structures worldwide, and we feel it now. The Moon opposes Uranus bringing sudden upsets and revelations.
The 24th and 25th the Moon travels through optimistic and opinionated Sagittarius coming into an opposition with Jupiter on the 24th. Insights come to you.
Over the next few days, (26th and 27th) the waning Capricorn Moon brings somber practical energy. It’s time to get to work. This is more pronounced when communicator Mercury enters Aquarius, the sign of the people, on the 27th and connects you with others.
Secrets are revealed on the 28th when Mercury meets powerful Pluto. What comes out now affects everyone because the Moon (the people) enters Aquarius just as the cosmic meeting takes place. Very interesting. This sets the tone for the Aquarian New Moon on January 29th.
The Aquarian New Moon on January 29th seeds potential for social uprisings the world over. What it means for you personally is the beginning of your own brand of belief. If you’re working to improve the quality of your thoughts, this is the Moon to pay attention to. Aquarius is notoriously stubborn! You can begin powerful, persistent habits with concentrated effort at this time. Mercury and Pluto are still conjunct, great depth is possible.
The nodal axis shifts from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo on January 29th. This resets our focus from me and you to spirit and body. Notice how you’re guided and where your interests lie.
The energy lingers over through the 30th and by the 31st and month’s end, the Moon has left Aquarius for Pisces just as Venus meets Neptune. It’s as though the wool is pulled over our eyes and we must use our intuition to see. Compassion is high and much forgiveness is needed.
To get through this month tolerance and wisdom are required, dear friends, and alas, not all of us have them and often not at the same time. Speaking for myself of course. With this in mind, why not celebrate? Why not live life fully? This is the time to maximize your potential and to open your heart. What have you got to lose?
Thanks for reading. Buy and enjoy my beautiful book. It will be yours to purchase and enjoy through Amazon when Jupiter turns direct in early February. I’ll have the link for you then.

And remember – you matter, we’re all connected, Earth is our home and love is our destination.
Your astrologer,
Dulce
