Greetings earthlings,
It’s a beautiful January day as I write this. Little sparrows dart in and out from the bird feeder. I feel calm and peaceful and yet there’s a sense that something is getting ready to happen. Perhaps it’s related to the unnatural warm dryness of the day; or the turbulence around the world and the many egos and ideologies involved. Perhaps it’s the general angst that pervades the human condition. It could also be associated with recent solar storms (https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/news/what-expect-peak-solar-cycle-25)
So, on that maudlin note written from a peaceful heart, here’s my take on the cosmic weather for February 2024.
The Sun in Aquarius (until February 18th) is always a reminder that we are part of the human family. We rely on Aquarian observation to orient us to what’s happening and how. We need the sign of vibration and sound to steer our course. Much like whales sound their passage from the depths of the sea, so the Aquarian sound waves of discourse and inquiry guide us to problem solving and fellowship.
This energy changes when the Sun enters Pisces, on February 18th. At that time the science and hum of Aquarian air energy subsides into the flowing everglades of water. In Pisces, all things meet their end. Contemplation of one’s life yields great rewards during the next 29 days.

On February 1st, the month begins as Mercury pulls away from Mars. Hopefully tension lessens and our etheric fields strengthen as solar activity subsides. Where’s the cross-fingers emoji when you need it?
Over the next two days, the Moon travels through intense Scorpio. This is a good time to explore the depths of your emotions.
On the 4th, the Moon enters jovial Sagittarius and lifts spirits; while late that same evening, Mercury enters Aquarius and meets Pluto. Powerful ideas are exchanged, and secrets come to light. Let’s trust it’s in the best and highest good for all. It seems that Pluto now in Aquarius is beginning to steer all things. Look and see how every planet that enters Aquarius needs to pass by this tiny but powerful presence.
The energy clears by February 6th and pragmatism prevails as the Capricorn Moon connects with wise Jupiter.
Changes may occur on the 7th as the Moon and Venus flash dance with rebellious Uranus and each in turn tickle the Sun. Give each other plenty of space yet remain connected. You may try something new.
Remember those secrets I mentioned? Well, they’re back, on the 8th. Added layers emerge. Stay grounded in hope and faith.
The Aquarius New Moon on February 9th lights up human potential. We have the capacity for great and sensible decisions and directions. Truly, there is power to the people as Uranus, the modern-day ruling planet of Aquarius, squares this lunation. Are we talking revolution? Mars at 28 Capricorn is wise and capable. It’s in harmony with gentle Neptune — we can act from our highest and best. We can grow up!
Chinese New Year February 10th begins the year of the Dragon. This is as the Moon meets Saturn. Make a promise you can keep.
On February 11th, expand on that promise by writing a poem, taking a photo, painting a picture, or forgiving someone. The Moon meets gentle Neptune today and helps facilitate your spiritual growth and promotes your inner vision.
Late on February 12th Mars leaves Capricorn behind for the collective vibe of Aquarius. The people’s presence is growing stronger, as is the desire for justice and common sense. The Moon now in Aries, supports any sensible new plan. The Moon and Chiron resonate with the nodal axis. What self-image do you need to let go of so you can heal?
As Mars enters Aquarius it meets Pluto who is obviously acting as bouncer for the social gathering that is the very nature of Aquarius. Mars and Pluto together are powerful and volatile. Pluto represents nuclear power and Mars represents aggression and action. However, Mars and Pluto conjunct on a regular basis every two years, and we’ve been fine so far. This particular time serves as a reminder of how much we treasure collaboration.
Valentine’s Day on February 14th could be a tad over the top when the sensual Taurus Moon meets with abundant Jupiter. Things get exciting on the 15th as the Moon meets with unpredictable Uranus.
February 16th and Venus also enters Aquarius and bumps into Pluto. Wow! What a celestial gathering we’re experiencing. Fairness and justice for all is vitally important.
Things quicken on the 17th as the Moon enters versatile Gemini.
Late on the 18th the Sun leaves scientific and social Aquarius for gentle Pisces bringing the energy of deep rest and spiritual balm.
There’s a cosmic love fest under a Cancer Moon on the 20th as Venus and Mars meet. They stay dancing together through the next couple of days (until the 23rd). Oh la la!
The 21st and 22nd the Leo Moon highlights individual creativity no matter what the circumstances.
In the wee hours of the 23rd, Mercury swims into the waters of Pisces enriching dreams and bringing angel voices to your imaginative mind.
The Virgo Full Moon on the 24th maximizes your capacity for self-healing. The imaginal cells of your life and love receive cosmic input. It might be a good day for rest and rejuvenation. It’s always a good time to pray for peace.
The Full Moon energy continues to resonate over the next few days. Take care of your etheric field and your physical body. Pure foods and water, excellent mental hygiene and a simple schedule are the way to go.
Walk your talk on the 28th as the Sun and Mercury meet Saturn. Hard news can soften the spirit but let’s not go that far. Let’s actively create a world of love.
This leap year month ends as Mercury and the Sun pull away from Saturn’s stern truths. We are resonating with the wisdom we’ve received. Be sure to take the vibration of peace with you into the coming months.
Thanks for reading! I’ll see you back here for March and the Spring Equinox. And remember — you matter, we’re all connected, Earth is our home and love is our destination.
Your astrologer,
Dulce
