Greetings Earthlings,
Though spring has sprung early after a winter that hardly was, the nine limbed crab apple in my front yard is blooming with great exuberance. Such trust! She exhibits no worry or concern for the snow that rarely fell; she fears not the temperature ten degrees above normal, she blooms, she blooms, she blooms. And the bees come! What a teacher that crabapple is for me. The trust she shows inspires me to do the same. May you, dear reader, be like crabapple and bloom. Do not hesitate. Regardless of the profound collapse seen and felt all around us, rooted beings bloom. Be that rooted being.
Good news! Body Sense Vol 2 of The Journey Series is finished! Copies are in the hands of my first readers and I’m doing yet another revision. And… drum roll please! I’ll be uploading the book to Ingram Spark where it will be distributed beyond Amazon. In order to do this I have loads of research and learning to do. I’ll let you know as soon as Body Sense is available. It is a dynamic and exciting read — it’s good! I’ll be making an audio of it too, just like I did with Heartfelt.
April’s over-the-top Aries energy is just what we need for new things yet it comes with its own backlash and concerns. Friends, let me be blunt, April 2026 is highly unusual astrologically. Uranus, the unpredictable God of invention and brilliance enters Gemini on April 25th for its once every 82-year sojourn. And April itself is absolutely packed full of Aries energy.
April is loaded up with the energy of Mars, the God of war and aggression. This makes April open to impetuous, impulsive behavior. The thing to remember is that we are pulling away from the illusions we were under during the recent Saturn/Neptune conjunction where lies and deception were prevalent. Those lies are now clearly evident and the confusion that was sown at that time is unraveling. And yet, because Mars is so strong this month we may see violent aggression, couldn’t-care-less behavior from others, specifically from DJT. But… he is rapidly approaching his karma as Saturn moves forward in his chart connecting with key points and he may slow down and hopefully this will mitigate some of the danger inherent in this prevailing Aries energy.
The good news is that after April, the energy settles. So, despite the scary, fast moving nature of this month, something sweet is building. Hold fast to your values and hopes. Build up your visionary vibe. Create your unfolding vision. Let the Mars and Aries fire, volatile as it is, be the energy you need to leap bravely into the very things you’ve been dreaming up. Remember, new things are born, including us, with a push. We are at the push…
Here’s how the month unfolds:
April 1st is a giant Libra Full Moon at around 8:30 pm MDT. Here we’re invited to see the other, be with the other, and forgive the other. Venus, the ruler of this Moon is happily grounded in Taurus. Your values matter. Jupiter is direct and squaring this lunation suggesting that things may be a tad over the top, (OTT as Dale used to say). Enjoy yourself but don’t over extend. I’ll be drumming and singing with Daughters of the Earth at this delightful event in Cedaredge, CO. Please join us. And if you have the time, please attend the writing workshops earlier in the afternoon.
April 2nd, the Libra Moon carries us forward in neutrality. Rest and re-balance.
On the 3rd and 4th, Venus comes into an angle of tension with Pluto suggesting those values are coming up against obstacles and are being tested. Stay strong.
April 3rd through the morning of the 5th, the waning Scorpio Moon brings up intense feelings. With angles to both Mars and Chiron on the 5th, your prayers and intentions for good will and healing are powerful and will generate change within you. Your spiritual strength is vital! Keep it that way.
April 6th and 7th the Sagittarian Moon harmonizes with the Sun, Neptune, Saturn and Chiron all in Aries. Big plans emerge. Are they in harmony with you?
The Capricorn Moon on the 8th, 9th and through most of April 10th steadies us for the coming rush. Now is the time for prudence and pragmatism based on what your intuition is telling you.
Mid-afternoon (MDT) on April 9th, Mars enters his home sign of Aries for the first time in two years and loads the cosmic deck with more Aries energy than has been seen in a long time, because it includes slow movers, like Neptune (164-year orbit) and to a lesser extent, Saturn (29-year orbit).
Also on the 9th, the Capricorn Moon opposes Jupiter suggesting legal, governmental, travel related matters make the news.
Late on the 10th, the Moon enters Aquarius, the sign of the people and meets with powerful Pluto. Further outrage is likely, however, if we turn this around we can see that truth does indeed overcome lies and that power really does lie with those who speak up and stand up.
Over the next three days, Mars connects with Neptune. Be mindful of your health. Protect your head area. Neptune is associated with the immune system. It also obscures the obvious. We may be subject to a lot of nonsense, TV-like imagery. On the plus side, this combination inspires you to take inspired action. Be especially cautious on April 12th when Mars and Neptune are exactly conjunct.
From here until the Aries New Moon on April 17th, be mindful, be careful, stay hopeful and lay low. There’s a tremendous amount of activation going on during this period. Be kind. Be patient. A lot of loose cannons begin rolling around now as Mars continues to move through Aries and meets with the stern karma of Saturn, and then the Moon and Mercury, then the Sun and Chiron. Whew! Wow! Okay… here are the dates and what they mean.
April 13th and 14th the waning Pisces Moon guides us through the emerging energy. Stay close to your highest hopes.
On the 15th, the Moon enters Aries and passes by Neptune where yet another deception (or hope) is seeded. It travels past Mars stimulating action and then later that day connects with Lord of Karma – Saturn. This is heavy energy. At the same time, the Sun meets with wounded healer Chiron. Ouch! This hurts! Let’s pray that it also heals.
The next day on April 16th, the Sun lingers with Chiron licking its wounds. The Sun represents authority so we may see the downfall of a national leader at this time.
Also on the 16th, Mercury meets with Neptune. We may be on the receiving end of some kind of fantasy. Think for yourself. It’s a great day for creative writing and making art.
Early in the morning on April 17th, the Aries Moon nestles between Chiron and the Sun for its rebirth as a New Moon. There are seven planets in Aries for this fresh start. If there were ever a beginning this is it! What have you seeded for your life? Does your behavior hurt or heal you? How about your thinking? This Aries New Moon pushes your dream into view. Jupiter is direct and loving in Cancer and Pluto forms gentle angles with Mars, the ruler of this lunation. The confusion of the last several months lifts and what you’ve been ruminating on zooms forward. The energy may be a little frazzled so though the impatience inherent in Aries is operational today, be sure to take time to rest in order to assimilate it all.
April 18th the Moon enters Taurus and helps stabilize the energy.
On April 19th, the Taurus Moon meets with Uranus bringing further change. Meanwhile, Uranus is poised at the very last degree of Taurus getting ready to move into Gemini (on the 25th) and shift the energy.
The evening of April 19th, the Sun leaves Aries for grounded Taurus. This is a palpable energy shift change. It’s an invitation for us all to tend to our Earth home. With the Sun’s move, the tension inherent in these times lessens but does not go away.
April 19th and 21st, Mercury, Mars and Saturn conjunct, with the evening of the 20th being the exact conjunction of these three planets. Mars and Mercury together set the stage for angry, impulsive and destructive talk. Keep your cool friends. Brash, youthful, masculine attitudes are on display. Hard news with Saturn there. Feisty talk with unpleasant long-term consequences hits the airwaves. Keep your word. Think of your future.
April 22nd and 23rd, the waxing Moon in Cancer brings feelings and family to the foreground. Earth Day is Wednesday April 22nd. Do what you can to celebrate and love our precious planet. Remember, our environmental safety and beauty is under threat by the Orange man and corporate greed. Stand up for our Earth home! Say no to all that threaten to hurt her and do what you can to care for her.
When the Moon meets Jupiter on the 23rd emotions run high. Travel and legal matters predominate.
Also on the 23rd, Venus meets change agent Uranus as both teeter on the edge of Taurus. Venus enters lightning fast, chatty, mercurial Gemini that very evening. Watch for changes in the stock market.
The 24th and 25th, the waxing Moon meets Leo and vibrates with the Aries energy.
April 25th an ancient cycle concludes and renews. This occurs as the Moon enters Virgo and resonates with the south node and, cosmic drum roll please, Uranus enters Gemini. Lovely Venus is there to meet the agent of change as he enters the sign of the fleet-footed messenger of the Gods. Uranus will be in Gemini until 2033.
Uranus is in Gemini in the chart of the USA. Each time Uranus makes its 82-year transit into Gemini, we’ve had a war. And lo and behold, we are at war now. DJT has his Uranus in Gemini too making him an unpredictable kind of fellow. Our Mars is also in Gemini in the house of relationships – we’re feisty with our friends either coming to their add or fighting with them.
The planet Uranus brings change. Uranus is a catalyst. It is a disruptor. We need change. We have to have it in order to move along our evolutionary path. In Gemini communications of all kinds – phones, social media, TV, neurology; and some forms of transportation like bicycles and cars; are all elevated and rapidly changed with Uranus. Technological innovations speed further along. It’s going to be tough to keep up with it all, specifically that related to AI. We may receive visits from aliens and UFOs. It’s going to be important to stay close to your own mind and to keep your mind healthy. How can you extend your brain health?
English astrologer Steve Judd, says Uranus in Gemini is the acceleration of the “mycelium of consciousness”. I love that! Pay attention to your telepathic abilities and note how they increase over these next several years. The Human Design system says a new kind of human emerges at this time. Neuro divergent children are being born and according to the podcast The Telepathy Tapes, are able to communicate with one another.
On the 25th, choose your psychic and mental course of action. I’m choosing curiosity, creativity, romance, and stability.
The 26th and 27th, the Virgo Moon (like Gemini, governed by Mercury) helps bring a sense of order and cleanliness. Get your act together.
April 28th through to the morning of April 30th, the Moon travels through Libra and opposes the Aries contingent with some sensitivity on the 30th when the Moon opposes Chiron. Bring balance to your plans. Heal what you can.
As I conclude the blog for this month, the breeze blows and the crabapple blossoms drift along the street, coating my front deck with pretty pink petals, spreading their fragrant beauty with sweet generosity. The neighbor’s American flag flaps and snaps and the little dog across the street yaps at imaginary angels. The new seeds we’ve planted are strong, dear Ones, despite and because of the overwhelm. All is well. All is well.
Remember, you matter, we’re all connected, Earth is our home and love is our destination.
Your astrologer,
Dulce
