Clouds scud across the moody sky as I celebrate the enormous task of completing my second book, Bodysense. It will be live on Amazon on June 9th. Anyway, here we are, about to enter the warmth of summer, our inner compass spinning in the no-man’s land of multiple choices. This is Gemini’s offering – which path would you like to take? Where are you headed?
At its foundation, Gemini represents the natural duality of our 3rd and 4th dimensions. The noise of the world is loud in these places. Our Gemini President destroys greedily while his toadies bow obsequiously, their hands out for his bribes. His supporters, angry at previous administrations, delight in the mayhem he creates. We are in that TV world/reality. That world of grift and cover-up is real and YET… we are leaving that behind. We’re entering the world of the heart. This warm intelligent place operates at another dimension completely, one that AI cannot participate in. One that greedy narcissists cannot even imagine.
So, beloveds, I encourage you to rise into the energy of your heart. To hold gently the outrage that moves through your mind and settle your breath. This is not a bypass; this is not a cop out. This is an effective strategy toward creating the world we want to live in by actually living it, in this very moment, one moment after the other.
We already know that all things, even difficult stuff, ultimately serve the power of love. Love is the source of all that is. So despite the dramas of life on Earth, we are beings of love. We are Earthlings. As Chiron enters Taurus this month, we will find ourselves sensitive to, and healed by, the Earth. The 2nd dimension reveals itself more and more, or perhaps we become more sensitive to it. We find ourselves communing with flowers and plants, trees and ants, with increased curiosity. Birds convey messages. If we lay still long enough, we can feel the 1st dimension — Earth’s vibrant crystalline core, reaching up to us, or maybe we reach down to it.
As things collapse and re-arrange, we get to reorder and reprioritize. The energy of June, via the twins (Gemini) and the mother (Cancer) help us do exactly that. Gemini is all about thinking and putting ideas together. Gemini is brilliant and funny and often fickle. The twins take us to summer solstice (June 21st), and then the Sun enters Cancer. Use the Gemini Sun energy to connect the dots in your life; to think for yourself. To connect with siblings and neighbors. To recognize the power that language and communication holds. Can your words be both true and sweet?
Gemini connects us to our neighbors, as well as our siblings and fellow students. In the Aramaic Prayers of Jesus, we learn that neighbors “have, somewhat mysteriously, been drawn to live near one.” Consider your neighbors and neighborhood while the Sun is in Gemini. You have been mysteriously drawn to live near one another.
Stay flexible this month. June brings in new energy, superseding both the air of Gemini and the water of Cancer with the fire of Leo. This occurs when Venus, and then Jupiter, enter Leo. Chiron also make a move this month as it enters Taurus. More about this shortly.
Here’s how the month rolls along:
June 1st, and the month begins with the Moon just past full and waning in fiery, hopeful Sagittarius. Today marks 90 days since the March 3rd eclipse and brings with it a quickening energy. Mercury is newly in Cancer today, too, and our hearts and conversations turn to home. Mercury will retrograde on June 29th until July 23rd. More on this in a moment.
June 2nd and 3rd the Moon enters the pragmatics of Capricorn and opens us to what love really is when it opposes first Mercury and then Venus and Jupiter in the opposite sign of Cancer. Use these days to feel out your emotional body while being practical and reasonable. It’s a good time to focus on business matters.
June 4th, and the Moon enters social Aquarius and meets Pluto. Something’s going down!
June 5th, start looking west shortly after sunset to see Venus and Jupiter cuddling on the horizon. This very beautiful conjunction tightens on June 9th but we get to see and feel it for days both before and after their exact conjunction.
June 6th, the Moon shifts from social, intellectual Aquarius to gentle Pisces in the early evening. We begin to feel the gentle warmth of water as the Moon connects sweetly over the next two days with Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter, all in Cancer. June 8th is particularly nourishing when the Moon exactly kisses Venus and Jupiter. Enjoy this special time.
June 9th and Venus and Jupiter meet at 25˚ Cancer. Oh la la. This is a love day extraordinaire. Be sure to spread your love and also, tend to your finances, specifically around property and real estate. Today is especially dreamy because the Moon, now in Aries, meets with watery Neptune. I wonder if we’ll begin to see the effects of El Nino at this time with the return of monsoons in the desert SW.

June 10th, though waning, the Aries Moon brings quickening energy and plants seeds for future goals and plans.
June 11th, the Moon enters Taurus preparing for the coming Gemini New Moon. Notice where you’re putting your physical energy over the next few days. You are preparing the ground for your hopes.
June 12th, the Moon and Mars meet in Taurus. Steady action is yours today. Do something rooted with it.
June 13th is an energy shift when Venus leaves Cancer for bold Leo. Expect the next month to bring bold declarations. Venus in Leo is a great time to add a little sparkle and pizzaz to your wardrobe and home décor. It also brings great confidence to love matters. Venus comes into harmony with Neptune and then opposes Pluto indicating an awakening from a dream or delusion. Costs of things do not appear to be going down, despite all the promises.
Also on the 13th, the Moon enters Gemini and meets with Uranus. Lots of electrical stimulation is possible today. Do something different but please stay grounded. This is the dark moon time when your receptivity to the Earth’s wisdom is enhanced.
June 14th, is the 24˚Gemini New Moon, in perfect connection to the recent Venus and Jupiter conjunction. This may well be the next layer of development in the life of the heart you are building. Chiron is poised at the last degree of Aries at this lunation. Venus is in opposition to Pluto so not everyone is happy, and values are opposed. This is Donald Trump’s birthday, though his solar return occurred on the 13th. That chart shows the man is doing all he can to insert himself into the TV show smoke screen he’s created. Let’s not get caught in it. Rise up!
At this New Moon, which is a beginning like all New Moons, be sure to open mental and emotional space for the new connections you are both building and discovering. Uranus squares the nodes inviting you to be discerning with your choices. Trust that your new path is unfurling in front of you. Gemini presents the connecting points to you – notice them.
June 15th, the newly hatched Moon floats through watery Cancer helping you access your feelings and attuning you to the needs of others.
June 16th, the Moon meets Mercury and then, later that night, Jupiter. Exchanges of love and proclamations of abundance are likely now.
June 17th is quite the day! Venus and the Moon meet in Leo, trine Neptune, and both oppose Pluto. What is going on? Deceptions lose power. Secrets may emerge. Keep your mind clean.
June 18th, long-term planning is possible as the Leo Moon trines Saturn in Aries. Be creative.
June 19th, features important cosmic shifts. Today Chiron enters Taurus for the first time in 50 years. Chiron has been in Aries for 8 years. What were those years like for you? Friends, I can tell you, it was very painful for me. My beloved husband was diagnosed with colon cancer 8 years ago and he died 9 months later. I can’t imagine how I got through that period of time, but I did. As I reflect on those years, I recognize that Chiron’s intuitive, subtle wisdom guided me.
Chiron’s shift occurs under a Virgo Moon who acts as midwife for this rare happening. The Virgo Moon meets the south node (squares Uranus too) and helps us release that which we no longer want or need. This is especially so as Chiron in Taurus invites us to look at the wound of materialism. Do we want to be like Virginia where they are breathing diesel fumes from generators that are running data centers? Everything we own, every purchase we make, has its consequence. With shipping traffic stalled the world over, goods (and fertilizer) are difficult to come by. Food security is key during the next 8 years. Get your garden growing! Chiron in Taurus deepens our bond with our beautiful Earth home.
The next few days are cleanup time as the Moon sweeps through hygienical motivated Virgo. This takes us up to solstice on June 21st.
Solstice looks creative and expansive with sextiles and trines. What a special day! The longest day of the year here in the northern hemisphere, this cosmic event connects us deeply with the cycles of our planet. Be sure to celebrate. With the Sun in Cancer until July 22nd, our attention is drawn to that which we cherish – home, family, children, mothers, food, security and love.
June 22nd, the Libra Moon opposes Saturn. Stick to the plan.
June 23rd, the Libra Moon opposes Chiron. Ouch! Balance and gratitude are healing things to experience.
Emotional work and awareness are needed over the next two days as the Moon travels through Scorpio. Emotional shifts are possible on the 25th.
June 26th through to June 28th, the waxing Moon sails through Sagittarius bringing optimism and a dash of dogmatism. Things do feel like they’re looking up!
June 28th, cosmic alert! Feisty Mars enters Gemini (a Mars return for the USA) for the first time in two years. It squares the nodal access and conjuncts with wild Uranus. Holy camoly! What foolhardy, aggressive action is going on now!? Keep a low profile, friends. The first week of July features this cosmic conjunction and square through the first week of July. Use this vital energy to tackle difficult projects but please, be careful. Stay away from sharp objects, explosives, and aggressive people.
On the other hand, this unpredictable, youthful, dangerous conjunction also provides an opportunity for healing, specifically what it is to be a man. This is a key point with our weekend news anchorman, playing the role of a very important man, who says that men in the military must be men!! Gemini is uniquely androgenous. It loves whom it loves. It identifies with no gender. It is all genders. Perhaps this crazy week brings something forward to free us from the most obvious duality of all. Uranus after all, is the planet of liberation.
The 8˚Capricorn Full Moon on the 29th, looks quite somber. World leaders and governments, especially here in the USA, are in our face. What choices are we making as a collective? What are the consequences of those decisions? Stick to your vision.
Also, on June 29th, Mercury retrogrades until July 23rd, lingering long in Cancer encouraging the discussion and plans around home, money, security, and family. We’ve got to go back before we go forward. This is important energy for the USA, which is a Cancer country, and I feel, looking at these transits, that Americans are going to unite over economic issues.
The month ends as Jupiter enters Leo for the first time in 12 years. Jupiter immediately squares Chiron bringing the tension often associated with healing. Jupiter in Leo inspires us. It lifts us up and brings confidence, courage, and creativity to our lives. Look at what was happening for you in 2014. Does a theme emerge for you? Jupiter will go on and oppose Pluto bringing strength and power to the people. Fires seem more likely too, with Jupiter in this fire sign.
The first week of July, the energy is somewhat disturbing. I’ll address that in the next blog; but for now, stay flexible. Don’t let rage run your life. Channel your fire and passions toward long term sustainable goals. Things really are heating up and yet… our roots are deep. Our love is strong. Stay healthy and let’s keep taking care of each other with kind words. And remember, you matter, we’re all connected, Earth is our home and love is our destination.
