Greetings Earthlings,
Here we are! At another fresh start manufactured by calendars. I feel the year began with the last New Moon near Solstice. Anyway, a happy New Year to you and may peace and sanity prevail.
Heads up – this is a long blog! First is a 2026 overview with key dates to put on your calendar and what to do about them. The specific energy of January follows. Please enjoy. I trust this labor of love helps you navigate your days. I’d love to see you at my class on January 10th (info down below) and I’d be delighted if you purchased my book!
I read it out loud on audio in a professional studio and you can listen to it on Audible. Yes, it’s me reading the whole thing. I got emotional a time or two, too.
2026 continues the themes of 2025 through to early February and into April as the slow-moving planets settle in their new signs. At that time we’ll know we’re in a new-to-us time. We’re in the year of the Fire Horse. Let your mane fly as you gallop across the far fields but do remember your way home. Keep your head on this year. There’s a Uranian/Mars theme this year that brings a note of caution. It’s exciting for this reason also. Things break down and build up in different ways. Social action is part of the scene.

January is quite the month… magical occurrences as the 2025 themes pass through. Lean into the last of the past energy. Cherish, pray, rejoice. For specific dates and cosmic details for January please scroll down.
February is an electric month! On the 17th there’s our first eclipse. This is a solar eclipse; therefore it’s at new moon and a beginning. This is at 28˚ Aquarius which is on the Moon (people) of the USA chart and on the descendent (relationships) of DJT’s chart. Thus we can expect some revealing shifts and changes in the USA in February. This is also the month of the last exact Saturn and Neptune conjunction at 0˚ Aries – the point known as the world point -the very beginning of the beginning. We’ve been living with the very end of the end for over a year now. I really like this guy’s take. He explains the Neptune/Saturn conjunction in Pisces without astrology. Energy gets a little fuzzy at the end of Feb (2/26) when Mercury turns retrograde.
March is a watery, symbolic, emotional time. We’ll need to turn to our spiritual practice to obtain clarity and direction. Peace practices work very well now. Mars enters Pisces March 2 until April 9 encouraging you to dig deep into your intuition as Mars swims and intuits in this watery sign. March 3rd lights up with a Full Moon eclipse at 12˚ Virgo. As you already know, full moons bring things to a head and in Virgo we can expect some clearing up of matters. Some cultures avoid being outside at eclipses – what do you think? A feng shui expert recommended staying indoors for this one. Also in March, abundant Jupiter turns direct at 15˚ Cancer. This is followed by a New Moon at the tail end of Pisces. Mercury is retrograde at 22˚ Pisces until March 20th at 8˚ Pisces. Consider soaking in water and using saltwater when and where you can. In March, rest, relax, seek and practice peace and presence.
April brings a surge of vitality and fire. Mars enters Aries on April 9th and stays there until May 18th. The 13th through the Aries New Moon on the 17th, Mars will travel between Neptune and Saturn. We’ll need to be very clear about what we’re doing and why. Be mindful of all issues that seem slow but exert damage over time. Stand your ground! Don’t be lax about what’s clearly right. April 25th Uranus enters Gemini and activates all things associated with AI and all communication devices and systems, including vehicles. Solar and wind power surge forward over the next several years while Uranus is in this sign. Practice good mental hygiene! Chose carefully what you will put in your mind. (In June 2032 Mars, Saturn and Uranus meet at 27˚ Gemini. Astrologer Kathy Rose suggests we are slowly building something to manifest that will come to life the summer of 2032. I like that idea and share it here with you now.)
In May Pluto turns retrograde encouraging inner work. In the middle of May the February 17th eclipse is triggered. Notice what happens for you now. Stay grounded! Mars enters Taurus on May 18 until June 28th and will help us ground and get ahead. May 22nd Uranus conjuncts the Sun bringing surprises. On May 26th Mars will square Pluto (in Aquarius) and we may see political social action – which is one of the themes for 2026. May 1st is the Scorpio Full Moon and on May 16th is a Taurus Super New Moon. These lunations are on the money axis. Be mindful of your expenditures and see where you can increase your prosperity.
June is a mixed bag with sudden shifts in energy occurring at the end of the month when Mars enters speeding Gemini on June 28th while the very next day Mercury retrogrades on June 29th at 26 Cancer until July 23rd. The Cancer Full Moon occurs as Mercury goes retrograde. Whew, what is going on? Yet, fabulous drum roll please, Venus and Jupiter meet at 25˚ Cancer. Very beautiful! On the last day of June, Jupiter enters confident Leo and opens the heart chakra.
America’s 250th birthday occurs in July 2026! It’s filled with excitement and unpredictability, and hopefully not dangerous events, as Mars conjuncts Uranus. Wow! Be smart, don’t be aggressive, it will bite you. Neptune retrogrades this month on the 7th; Mercury turns direct (at 16˚ Cancer) on July 23rd as things move forward again and yet slow down within a few days as on the 26th, Saturn turns retrograde in the middle of Aries. There’s a lot of stops and starts this month so keep your own steady pace. Big news — on July 27th the nodal axis shifts to Aquarius and Leo. This is a 19-year cycle that subtly guides the soul path for all beings on earth. Jupiter moves into Leo in July and with Neptune and Aries in fiery Aries I feel we’re moving into drought, heat and dryness.
August Mars enters Cancer on the 11th until September 27th. Time to nest in! On the 12th there’s a solar New Moon eclipse at 20˚ Leo. And on August 28th there’s a 4˚ Pisces Full Moon lunar eclipse that is activated by Uranus. Again, stay grounded! Let old stuffy energy go.
September is very busy cosmically. Get organizing! The month begins with Mars squaring Saturn bringing effort to your goals. On the 10th, Uranus will retrograde at 5˚ Gemini taking your changes inside you. On that same day there’s an 18˚ Virgo New Moon bringing fresh clean energy. The Aries Full Moon takes place on the 26th; with a conjunction with Neptune the fog descends once again and it might be hard to see the way. The very next day Mars moves again and enters Leo until November 25th.
In October, Venus makes the month magical (and intense) by retrograding on the 3rd at 8˚ Scorpio until November 13th. On the 24th Mercury will also retrograde at 20˚ Scorpio and will go direct on the same day in November as Venus! Finances and markets may show the results. Also, with both Venus and Mercury going on holiday remodeling and beauty treatments might not be as you hope. Love may be a little lost or may deepen.
November is quite the month! On the 13th both Venus and Mercury turn direct – great time to relaunch yourself or your products. On November 16th, Mars and Jupiter meet in Leo; lots of bravado but too much can be dangerous for all. On the 24th the 2˚ Gemini Full Moon conjuncts Uranus suggesting you might spend Thanksgiving in a new way. The very next day, Mars retrogrades in Virgo until January 2027. Mars retrograde periods hold us back and in Virgo, it’s about cleaning, clearing and fixing things, quite possibly for health matters (including insurance).
This new year feels and looks old by the time we get to December 2026 and what a year it’s been! On December 4th Mars squares Uranus quickening and electrifying life. On December 10th, Saturn turns direct at 7˚ Aries. Green light for your forward movement! On December 12th, Jupiter turns retrograde at 27˚ Leo – your biggest cheerleader maybe you! Stay courageous.

Let’s turn our attention to what’s right in front of us: January 2026
January carries a unique magical signature coming from an exquisite meeting of Venus and Mars in Capricorn. This is a 32-year cycle and perhaps you might remember the last time they met in this particular area of your chart, which was December 1993. This time, the lovers resonate tightly together (11˚ Capricorn to 27˚ Capricorn) until January 18th at which time they begin to separate though remain “incommunicado” for another month or so. This bodes well for all forms of connection, including business and pleasure.
New Year’s Day is sparkly and fun with the Moon in communicating Gemini. The afternoon turns serious as Mercury leaves the vibrancy of the Galactic Center for practical Capricorn. We’re in Capricorn country now until January 21st. Use these next few weeks to set your priorities.
The mood turns emotional on January 2nd to the 4th as the Moon gets moody in Cancer. There’s a lot to be concerned about.
Specifically at the Cancer Full Moon on the 3rd at 3:26 am MST. This lunation is operating under the 2025 themes of division and mental polarity, politics as a TV show, and the general misplacement of possessions over true value – like clean air, water, and wilderness over data centers, digital money, war — dead illusory things basically. At this Full Cancer Moon, Mars and Venus meet with the Sun between them – there is an opportunity to bridge divides and share that which we love with one another. Keep your heart open even if your door is closed (that’s not a bad idea anyway).
The next day, on the 4th, the Moon meets Jupiter and things can feel over the top. Get moving and shift the energy if it isn’t good. This pairing has the potential for wonderful blessings so let’s feel that!
January 4th and 5th, Venus meets the Sun and totally disappears from our view (we haven’t been able to see her for a while anyway). She is shifting her relationship with the Sun. For the last several months she’s been a morning “star” and she’s going to now follow the Sun at sunset as an evening star. She disappears from view while she shifts. We’ll begin to see her in the evening along with little Mercury, toward the end of February this year.
January 4th to early morning January 6th, the Leo Moon carries us bravely along.
The 6th through the 8th, the Moon travels in healing (fussy) Virgo. Let clutter go! This means your diet too. Do I really want that glass of wine?
On January 6th Venus, Mars, Sun conjunct. Historically this is the Day of the Magi, when the wise men went to visit the Christ child. (Don’t you prefer this anniversary to the other more recent one!)
The next day on January 7th Venus and Mars make an exact conjunction (beautiful love!) and both oppose Jupiter and square Chiron. Ouch! It doesn’t have to hurt! It could heal. New way of doing relationships – not the old way of being, the new one, whatever that looks like – can be done now. The Virgo Moon goes over the south node today – let stuff go.
It’s absolutely magical that Mars, Venus, Mercury and the Sun connect so sweetly in the first weeks of this year. Do use this energy to further align your goals and to listen to both your interior voice and the words of those you are in relationship with. This is a highly productive time if you have planets between 13 and 23 degrees of any sign, but specifically Capricorn.
January 8th both Venus and Mars conjunct the Sun at 18 Capricorn! This is so beautiful. If something miserable happens today then things are truly back to front. Also on the 8th, the waning Virgo Moon opposes Saturn and Neptune. Clean up the last vestiges of your known karma. Seek and give forgiveness.
The conjunction continues over the next few days as the Moon travels through Libra. Seek balanced relating.
January 10th decisions may need to be made as the Moon squares the Sun. I hope you decide to come to my 10 Dimension and Astrology Update workshop in Ridgway, CO at the Bee True to You yoga studio (info and registration at the end of this blog).
On the 11th and 12th, the waning Moon travels through intense Scorpio bringing up both fear and possibility.
On the 13th the Moon opposes Uranus bringing surprise.
The 14th and 15th the Moon’s travels through Sagittarius call up your vision and inner guidance.
The Moon enters Capricorn on the 16th and prepares for rebirth. Listen closely, what is your inner voice telling you?
On January 17, in dark of the Capricorn Moon, Venus leaves Capricorn, enters Aquarius and connects with Pluto already in that sign. The people are awake!
The 28˚ Capricorn New Moon occurs at noon on January 18th. This fresh start at the end of the sign of the goat brings dignity and structure to your life. What can you build? What can you commit to? Both Mercury and Mars are close to the Sun and Moon and all four celestial bodies, six including Venus and Pluto very close by in Aquarius, form a favorable relationship with Uranus, the planet of change and rebellion. Can we come together? Can the power of the people unite with sensible, scientific solutions that are equitable and sane? I like to think so.
The Sun leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius late on the next day (January 19th). This brings about a shift, both energetically and quite possibly politically.
January 20th, and Mercury also leaves Capricorn for Aquarius. Energy is building!
January 21st Mercury (like Venus just did) will make a superior conjunction with the Sun. This is called cazimi in astrology and indicates a powerful alignment of one’s personal will with divine will – if you allow it. The Sun, Mercury and Venus are now all conjunct Pluto. Something very serious related to social issues and equity is going down.
On the 22nd the gentle Pisces Moon meets Saturn and Neptune. Once again, it’s forgiveness time.
The Aries Moon on the 23rd and 24th brings fresh energy and the promise of something new.
Very early on the 23rd, Mars enters Aquarius bringing a series of cosmic changes and energy to the social scene.
The 25th through to the 27th, the waxing Moon travels through Taurus bringing a measure of stability.
Cosmic drumroll please! On January 25th Neptune leaves Pisces for a long stay in Aries (until 2040). This occurs at the end of the end and the beginning of the beginning as Neptune and Saturn straddle the Aries Point (the beginning of a cycle). We may lose something very dear to us at this time. This will be followed by something new and much more aligned with the newness of your being. This is your more authentic self, which is you having shed much of your programming and fixed ego reactions.
We now have quite the collection of planets in Aquarius! The sign of the people. Mars, Pluto, Sun, Vesta, Mercury and Venus. They’re all there! Energy is gathering toward some social issue that effects all of us.
The Taurus Moon connects with Uranus on the 27th brings surprises.
The 28th and 29th the waxing Gemini Moon makes sweet connections with all that Aquarian energy. It’s more than time to connect the dots. Friendships, neighbors, siblings, communications of all kinds become very important now especially on the 29th when the Moon squares Saturn. Listen and learn.
The Moon enters Cancer on the 30th and meets abundant Jupiter on the 31st. Wow! That’s a big note to end a big month on. Jupiter has a lot to do with the legal system. Let’s trust the laws of the land prevail specifically around Cancerian issues like homes, mothers, children, mortgages, food and so on. Think of the three bottom layers of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs – that’s Cancer energy.
Well… it’s been a long blog. Thanks for reading and remember — you matter, we’re all connected, Earth is our home and love is our destination.
Blessings for a good 2026.
Love,
Dulce
