Greetings Earthlings,
There’s nothing quite as relaxing as the feeling of space. Lifting the arms overhead, breathing, stretching the legs out. Whew… ah…
I’ve taken the week off to continue work on Body Sense, the second novel in the Journey Series (oh my golly… it’s quite the tale) but first comes this blog. Writing this infuses my fingers with inspiration and the fact that your eyes will read these words, makes me smile.
Looking at astrology is helpful. It’s literally a cosmic map and this month we need it because we have two eclipses. Eclipses are powerful cosmic reset opportunities. There are both full and new resets this month in the energies of spirit and service, healing and release (Pisces Full Moon), and establishment of new cell connections (Sun in Virgo). Beyond the eclipses, the Sun enters Libra shifting our alchemy from earth to air, from service and purification to leadership and relationship.
Alchemy is your ability as an Earthling to go from one state of being, sometimes literally, to another different state. Darwin called it survival of the species which is a pithy way of talking about adaptation, and that includes surrender, release and transformation. That’s what being an earthling is about… it’s about metamorphizing.
So let’s get to it.
We begin the month with the Sun in Virgo. Virgo is such a delight. I love Virgo’s gentle admonishments as she guides us toward healing. Healing is about the part of us that is messed up and desires to return to an organic order. This is earth wisdom in its purest form. Animals and gardening are Virgo joys! Opposite the watery sign of Pisces here we see flowers arising from a murky pool. Green moss on stones. If you were a landscape, what would you be?
Both Neptune and Saturn are retrograde for the next few months. We need to go back a little in order to see what’s happening in your life and the world. What have you been struggling with? Name it. What new strength are you developing? Name that.
We open the month with Labor Day here in the USA. It’s a good day to both celebrate and create with Mercury at the tail end of Leo harmonizing with the Sagittarian Moon.
September 2nd, Mercury enters its home sign of Virgo. This is our annual opportunity to clean up and organize. I strongly suggest a mental cleanse. Feed your mind with spiritual gems and take peaceful action in your little dot on the planet.
September 3rd may feel overwhelming as the Capricorn Moon opposes Jupiter. Legal matters, home affairs, and divisive opinions predominate. On the plus side, profound insights are possible.
The 4th through early on the 6th the Aquarian Moon brings connections. On the 5th watch for a specific connection with a love interest as the Moon opposes Venus.
There’s a total Full Moon lunar eclipse at 15˚ Pisces on the 7th which is visible in parts of the southern hemisphere. This eclipse is a release. Both Virgo (where the Sun is) and Pisces are porous, sensitive psychic energies. Be sure to purify your body, mind and soul. Drink plenty of good water and rest. Protect your immune system. Pay attention to your dreams. Remember what Dale used to say – the greatest expense in life is failure to pay attention. Perhaps you might feel the crystalline structure within the iron core of our planet. This is the first dimension. Tap into it.
Karma is felt on the 8th as the eclipse energy continues to resonate and the Moon meets Saturn.
The 9th and 10th the waning Aries Moon opposes its ruler Mars and meets Chiron. Notice how you’re assimilating or allowing yourself to adjust to the change, not just from summer to fall (which I feel as I work in my garden) but from one state to another.
Kissy, kissy on the 9th when the Moon winks at Venus. Have fun! In the market place stock/tariff information comes forward.
On the 10th the Sun meets the south node in Virgo. Though the Sun meets the south node every year, meeting in Virgo is something that happens only when the south node gets to Virgo which is every 19 years. The south node is in Virgo now and thus this is an important time. It can indicate the loss of a world leader or a return of something highly significant to our healing. On a personal level, use this to let go of the unwanted or retrieve the precious.
September 11th is a sensitive date for the USA. Mercury hovers near the south node too. The past feels present.
Surprises are possible on the 12th when the Gemini Moon meets Uranus.
There’s lots to say on the 13th and 14th when the Sun and Mercury meet. Guard your nervous system at this top-heavy Mercury time (Mercury rules the Gemini Moon, the Virgo Sun and Mercury). Possible cellular upgrade occurs.
The Cancer Moon carries us over the next few days as we access our emotions culminating on the 16th when the Moon meets over-the-top Jupiter. Stay sane! Mars opposes Chiron today too. It’s a sensitive time. Be gentle with one another.
Prepare for change over the next few days.
Early on the 18th Mercury leaves Virgo for diplomatic Libra beginning the shift from earth to air. Mercury opposes Neptune promoting faith. Don’t be deceived by deception.
The 19th is rather magical as the Moon accompanies Venus into Virgo. They kiss at the exact 0 Virgo as the Sun and Moon did at the New Moon on August 23rd! This date is a continuation of those new moon intentions.
The energy deepens on the 20th with the Moon growing dark and resonating over the south node and preparing for the New Moon solar eclipse on the next day.
Serious New Moon partial eclipse on the 21st at the last degrees of Virgo. The Sun and Moon oppose karmic Saturn. As you sowed, so shall you reap. Discernment is key! This is a beginning point. It’s a fresh start and with the opposition to Saturn it has long-term consequences. Be careful and also bold with your intentions at this time. Ask yourself if you can live with the fulfillment of your dream over time.
As this New Moon is both birthed and eclipsed a lot of cosmic activity takes place. Within hours the Moon leaves Virgo for Libra. While the next day on the 22nd Mars leaves Libra for its ancient home of Scorpio and the Sun enters Libra at equinox. Whew! Talk about an energy shift! Be sure you’re prepared and organized for whatever happens. Know where your valuables are and be clear about your intentions.
Equinox is an important earth honoring time. Our place in the solar system is made known to us on this day of equal light and dark. How can you honor and celebrate this magical occasion, this absolutely awe-inspiring celestial event?
The Sun opposes both Saturn and Neptune at Equinox this year, activating the vital early degrees of the world chart. There is no doubt – we are in big times and everything can be made new. Be your new self. Your new self may well be your original, authentic self, before your false self was formed to function in this 3D world.
We feel the energy over the next few days. On the 23rd the Sun trines Pluto and Uranus – hope blossoms for the people as a fresh leader gains strength. The Sun in Libra invites decorum. This is our annual invitation to connect peacefully with others. Relationships of all kinds are blessed during the next 30 days.
Pay particular attention to your feelings on the 24th when the waxing Scorpio Moon meets Mars.
The Scorpio Moon harmonizes with Jupiter on the 26th making this a good day to deal with difficult things, especially those related to truth and/or legal affairs.
The 27th and 28th the Sagittarian Moon lifts spirits as well as opinions. Get away for an adventure.
The month ends on a waxing Capricorn Moon bringing our focus back to what needs to be done.
The dramatic month comes to a pragmatic conclusion. September has been about Virgo busyness surrendering at Equinox to the balance of Libra. How does this play out in your life? What needs to be cleaned up and what needs equality is your focus for this month. Take good care of your immune system. Intersperse your organizational time with quality rest. Let go of what’s over and open your heart to receive your deepest wish. Above all else – be discerning.
