I write this as a ballad plays on the radio. I feel a lifting up sensation, a profound and gentle love for life as it is. My heart, like so many of yours, is open. If you have a heart, then Earth is your home. There’s music here, and growing things, like the pink geranium I’m blessed to live with. It is full of delicate blooms despite the cold temperature of the window against which it presses.
Not only is February about Valentine’s and love, which are heart-centered themes, February is mostly about the merging of the mind (Aquarius) with the soul (Pisces). The air element surrenders to the water element. This action requires the presence of your heart, your awareness of your heart. Can you feel it beating? What does it tell you?
Until February 17th, the Sun is in Aquarius, bringing your attention to your intellectual pursuits and the human condition. The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th shifting the energy from air to water. You may notice this. It’s the mind to soul transition that occurs every year, preparing us for renewal and rebirth at spring equinox.
The month begins with a rare and profound spiritual imprint. On the 1st, the Moon and gracious Venus meet ephemeral Neptune at the Pisces north node. The north node is the celestial indicator of our collective path and tells us the way to go for the next 18 months. Here we’re receiving cosmic guidance to open in love and compassion for ourselves and one another. In Pisces, it’s about forgiveness, mercy, the past, the feet, blood, all fluids – like oil and water; poetry, spirituality, sorrow, swindlers, sleeping and dreams, to mention just a few of the domains Pisces rules. These are all coming into our awareness over the next year and a half. We’re being invited to attend to the mostly invisible aspects of life – the juicy tenderness that connects us all. Can you tap into that on the 1st and beyond, to perhaps the rest of your life? You have Pisces somewhere in your chart – it’s being activated now.
On the 2nd, the waxing Aries Moon brings vitality and action sparking the Aquarian Sun. Let logic and reason inform you over the next few days, as they always do of course, but especially so now.
February 3rd, and Jupiter stations preparing to go direct. This is poignant power folks! Tap into your thoughts and clarify what it is you’re attempting to bring to your life.
February 4th is a big day, cosmically speaking. Venus enters independent Aries, where she will later retrograde (March 1st to April 12th back into Pisces). Jupiter focuses its energy into forward motion, turning direct very early the next day. Please check back here or go directly to Amazon to get my beautiful book: Heartfelt. Contrary to the thoughts of some of my friends and readers, this book was written two years before my late husband became ill. It was part of the pre-cognition I had. I’ve been clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient all my life and writing this book was a tangible experience of that.
With Jupiter’s direct motion on the 4th, expansion occurs, specifically in the area of your life that Jupiter is traversing. Jupiter is in Gemini now, the sign of communication and curiosity. It’s time to think outside the box, and to consider other realms of reality. What could they be? Here are a few clues – they’re fun, intriguing, curious, and expressive.
On February 5th, the waxing Taurus Moon meets unpredictable Uranus bringing unexpected weather and economic shifts.
February 6th, the Moon is now in Gemini where it meets over-the-top Jupiter. Be sure to write down the insights that come through. Connect as many dots as you can before forming an opinion. There are harmonious aspects with the Sun and Mercury both in Aquarius through to the 7th and intelligence flows easily.
February 8th and 9th, the Cancer Moon brings emotions to the fore.
The 9th is an important day. The Moon meets feisty Mars — stay away from angry people and use logic to figure out shared defensive attitudes. Also today, Mercury meets the Sun, both in intelligent Aquarius. Something is happening that affects all of us (isn’t that always the case, though). There’s a lot of mental activity. What does your heart say?
Tension and action continue on the 10th when the Moon (getting very fat now) enters dramatic Leo and opposing powerful Pluto. Practice peace! Dance!
Heed the signs and listen to your heart on the 11th.
February 12th at 6:55 am MST, the 24° Leo Full Moon highlights affairs of the heart and of humanity. We’re all dealing with a lot of change, as evidenced by Uranus’s tight square (angle of tension and action) with both the Sun and Moon. Clever Mercury is involved in this lunation also, and it too opposes the Moon. There’s a lot to say and it’s hard to make a decision. Duality prevails and it takes consciousness to come to unity thinking. Impulsiveness may not work out very well. The good news is the presence of Ceres, the mother goddess, in close alignment with the Sun and Mercury, guiding and steering the way. Make this Full Moon personal to you by expressing and enjoying life like Leo does – with a generous, playful spirit.
The Virgo Moon carries us over the next two and half days, helping us put things in order. It opposes Saturn on the 14th, Valentine’s Day, bringing a feeling of sadness and/or commitment. Also on Valentine’s, Mercury enters gentle Pisces shifting mental energy to one of reflection and memories.
On the 15th, the waning Moon opposes Venus, independent in Aries, and begs the question, are you better together or alone? Balance is the answer.
Meanwhile, since February 5th Mars has been in harmony with stern Saturn letting you know that behind the scenes good things are at work for the long-term. Be sure to align your actions with your long-term goals this whole month.
The 16th might be a little tender and possibly healing when the Libra Moon opposes Chiron.
Adjustments are required on the 17th as the waning Moon makes awkward angles with the Sun and Uranus. Be patient.
On the 18th the Sun leaves cerebral Aquarius for tender Pisces until the spring equinox on March 20th when it enters Aries and a fresh start. In the meantime, center your life on your spiritual creative self. This will prepare you for the coming months.
February 18th and partway through the 20th, the waning Scorpio Moon harmonizes with all the Pisces energy. Get in the flow. Feel it.
Sudden shocks and insights are possible on the 19th when the intense Scorpio Moon opposes unpredictable Uranus.
The energy lifts when the Moon enters optimistic Sagittarius on the 20th, but it comes with a little tension at first when the Moon squares the Sun. Hope and positivity continue as the Moon connects with Venus and Chiron in Aries through the 22nd, showing you new ways to go. Avoid dogmatism.
Tune in to higher guidance on the 22nd when the Moon connects with the Galactic Center.
The 23rd and 24th the waning Capricorn Moon brings decorum and pragmatism. Stay away from angry folks on the 24th when the Moon opposes Mars. It’s a good day for vigorous house cleaning.
February 25th, the Aquarian Moon brings insights when it connects with deep Pluto. Notice what’s going on. Insights and intel continue through the 26th.
February 27th is the annual Pisces New Moon at 5:45 pm MST. There’s a serious tone to this beginning as Mercury talks with Saturn. Yet it’s blessed by the presence of dreamy, spiritual Neptune exactly conjunct our collective pathway – the North Node. Tremendous wisdom is available today! Shift karma to dharma as Saturn hovers near the North Node. Align yourself with your highest and best. Trust that love is guiding your life. Stay close to the pulse of your heart and let it inform you. What will your intention be for this precious, new start?
The month ends quietly on the 28th, full of the whispers of Spirit and the heartfelt sense that you are part of all that is. Stay true to that; especially since life is so hard. There’s a lot of sorrow on the planet and we feel it in the prevailing Pisces energy. We can share our sorrow and our joy. We are One and we all give to the matrix of which we are a part. Just look to the west shortly after sunset, you may be able to see the Moon and Saturn, and above them, should you have a fantastic telescope, Neptune, the great dreamer. And above that, beautiful Venus, shining her bright self so we all can see. As the night darkens Jupiter rises to the top followed by Mars; all of them giving their light. Receive their gift and give of your own this month of February. There is much joy and peace to share.
