Greetings Earthlings!

The gentle leadership energy of Libra guides us through much of the month. On October 22nd, the Sun will enter the intensity of Scorpio, helping us deepen our practice. Until then, the balancing, relational energy of Libra brings a modicum of decorum to a difficult time on our planet. The month opens with a Libra New Moon which is also a solar eclipse. This provides us with an invitation to see the other person’s point of view and to collaborate with them. Imagine how peaceful that would be! Of course, the arms dealers won’t like it, they wouldn’t make much money, but the rest of us would be able to get on with the business of living and loving. Hold the principles of peace in your heart, especially this month. It’s the path we’re actively walking.

The months opens with a dark Moon. Some people experience low energy around this time; whether this is you or not, use this cosmic fecundity to set your intention for the new beginning which is seeded the very next day at the New Moon eclipse.

October 2nd between 11am and 1pm MDT, the Moon and the Sun meet at 10° Libra in an annular solar eclipse. Look in your chart to see where Libra lies and examine the other planets in your chart to see if you have any planets around the 10° mark. Also, take a look back to October 2005 when an eclipse took place at this same degree. What happened then? Could the south node focus of this eclipse be bringing something that began back then, to an ending now, in order to facilitate a new beginning? At this time communication is highlighted (Mercury conjuncts the Moon and Sun) and discussions center on relationships. With a square to Mars, conversations may be a little testy and defensive. Gracious Venus rules this lunation from her current Scorpio placement. There may be an undertow of intensity and control in the midst of this loving Libra vibe. Be sure you’re acting from the present moment, rather than your old life. This could be a magical time, and it could last a long time with a beautiful water trine between Venus, Mars and Saturn.

The eclipse continues to resonate over the next ten days. Stay conscious, especially around your relationships and relationship patterns. Mars and Saturn are in favorable relationship suggesting that you too can build lasting connections.

The Moon enters Scorpio on the 4th and deepens your feelings. Notice what happens on the 5th when the Moon meets loving Venus. Could there be soul whispers and pillow talk? Quite possibly as both of them align favorably with both Mars and Saturn. Something dear and precious is being created. It also has long-term potential.

Sudden changes and dreamy delusions (or hopes) on the 5th, when the Moon opposes Uranus and trines Neptune. Stay patient until you really know what’s going on.

On the afternoon of October 6th, the Moon enters ebullient Sagittarius lifting spirits. Everybody has an opinion it seems. Listen to your inner wisdom.

This slightly scattered hopeful energy takes us through to the 8th when the Moon moves into an opposition with abundant Jupiter and a trine with Chiron (which in turn opposes Mercury) Wow! Lots happening up there. This could be an over-the-top day. Remember not to take anything personally and if you do discover something about yourself, allow it to illuminate you. No pity parties! You’re turning into a light being and these moments of truth are perfect for that transformation.

The sober Capricorn Moon takes us through the 9th and 10th and into an opposition with Mars. Emotional feistiness is possible today.

A somewhat unstable (or exciting) feeling begins around the 11th and takes us through the next few days. The Moon enters Aquarius on the 11th and meets powerful Pluto, while wild Uranus makes a connection with communicative Mercury. Sacred geometry forms in the heavens now, as Neptune, Uranus and Mercury create a Yod (finger of God) pattern. The message is – shake things up, listen to all points of view, and come to a healthy compromise; something the world needs now.

This energy carries us through to the 13th when Mercury leaves gracious Libra for probing Scorpio. We’re beginning to feel the entrenched positions and passions that lie ahead.

Meanwhile, on October 12th, Pluto stations direct suggesting some kind of critical mass is occurring as Pluto begins its slow move away from Capricorn finally re-entering Aquarius, the sign of the people and the future, on November 19th. It’ll be 250 years before Pluto gets back to Capricorn so this is big news!

October 14th packs a wallop. It could sting or heal as the Sun opposes Chiron and both connect with Mars. There could be sudden gains or losses as Venus opposes Uranus. Stay flexible.

Prayer and forgiveness are good practices for the 15th as the Pisces Moon meets Neptune. And let’s face it, prayer and forgiveness are always good practices!

We’re approaching a Full Moon and the energy is building. The Aries Moon on the 16th brings independence and that night, insightful dreams as the Moon meets Chiron.

The day begins with a feisty, possibly dangerous 24°Aries Full Moon on October 17th. With connections to Chiron the natural teeter-totter between Libra (togetherness) and Aries (autonomy) is magnified. Both abundant Jupiter and feisty Mars are part of this lunation. Moderation and equilibrium is key at this time! Keep your act together and access motivation for a needed action. Stay away from angry opinionated people.

Later on this Full Moon day, Venus leaves steamy Scorpio for freedom loving Sagittarius. Changes in values and plans are possible. It’s time to put your gypsy skirt on and plan some much-needed fun!

Things are still a little shaky on the 18th and 19th with awkward angles between the Sun and Uranus, and then the Sun and Neptune. Surprises are possibly on the 19th when the Moon meets Uranus.

The Gemini Moon helps connect the dots over the next few days. On the 21st the Moon meets with expansive Jupiter. The airwaves hum with messages. What is your message? What have you learned and what are you learning now?

Tension is likely on the 22nd as the Sun and Pluto square off before the Sun enters Scorpio, the sign Pluto rules. Some deep wisdom is passed along now. It may not yet be conscious. Stay tuned and prepare for this energy shift by noticing where your attention goes.

The Cancer Moon carries loads of emotions and connects with Mars on the 23rd, perhaps prompting a release.

The 24th and 25th the waning Leo Moon brings much needed steadiness, though you may still need decision making time when it squares Mercury on the 25th.

The Virgo Moon over the next few days resonates with order culminating on the 28th when it opposes elusive Neptune. Pay attention to your dreams tonight.

The Libra Moon on the 29th restores equilibrium which is gone on the 30th when Mercury opposes Uranus. Some kind of upset, or perhaps sheer brilliance! Once again, pay attention, and hang onto your common sense.

The month ends with a dark Moon. Seriously consider the seeds you’d like to plant, ones that enhance your well-being and contribute to the health of all beings. Tomorrow, on November 1st, the Moon will be reborn in Scorpio providing yet again, another chance at renewal.

How lucky we are to live on this planet! Take care out there and remember – you matter, we’re all connected, Earth is our home, and love is our destination.

Your astrologer,

Dulce
