Greetings Earthlings,
As I write, the wind whips the American flags across the street and thin dark clouds make their way across the twilight sky. Spring is doing its thing. Wind moves the season from the bitter cold of winter to the budding of a new season of growth. This is true for you also. What is old and false can be shed now and there is much to shed. Our accumulated layers of karma are a crust upon our souls, and we spend our days struggling to defend the all-consuming ego. When the energy we expend in outer action turns inward into self-awareness, something miraculous happens. For one thing, we begin to hear and thus heal ourselves. For another, the false self begins to disintegrate. And ultimately, one’s authentic self (which is the greatest mystery you’ll ever uncover) flexes and blossoms. All of this is possible, especially now with the prevailing spiritual energy of Pisces.
We’ve talked about the upcoming total eclipse on April 8th. At that time the Moon crosses the face of the Sun along with wounded healer Chiron in the sign of Aries, I Am. This opens a door through which the false self can exit. This coming March is preparation time for the eclipse. Use this month to deepen and prepare for your liberation.
The energy of Pisces is perfect for such a deep dive. Its dreamy nature provides an imaginal realm in which to release all notions of egoic self. This is further facilitated by a penumbral eclipse of the Full Moon on March 25th. More about that in a moment. Here’s how the month rolls along:
March 1st and there are a few emotional surprises and releases possible as the Scorpio Moon opposes Uranus.
The waning Sagittarius Moon carries us through the next few days (2nd – 3rd) with feelings of positivity. If you feel down during this period, get out and get moving and turn that TV off.
The 5th through 6th, the Capricorn Moon helps you put things in order. Did you get your taxes done?
The 7th through the 8th are interesting days. The Moon travels through Aquarius inviting fellowship and community. Ideas flow and connections are made. The Sun opposes Black Moon Lillith and brings insights beyond the verbal. Pay attention!
On March 8th, little Mercury connects with dreamy Neptune in gentle Pisces. This is a day for peace. Forgiveness is a powerful tool, use it. If you have the time, make music, write a poem, paint a picture, take a photo. Something mysterious is unfolding in your life. On a practical note – guard your immune system. Don’t hurt your precious body with drugs or alcohol.
March 9th, the Moon enters Pisces and prepares to make things new. Set your intention. Mine will be centered on health.
Also, on March 9th, little Mercury leaves Pisces’s fluidity for the bold innocence of Aries. It’s time for new mental ground and new ways of relating, especially with your siblings. Mars and Uranus square – watch out! Pay attention! No texting and driving. No reactive responses, please. You might put yourself in a pickle.
March 10th is the annual Pisces New Moon. This is your opportunity to feel your connection to all-that-is. There is a greater, sweeter resonance to life than the discordant brutal “reality” we have created. Tune in to the fluid loving essence of this New Moon. If you’re making life changes, let this cosmic beginning help you question your old thinking. New awareness awaits and it’s nothing like what you thought it would be. The clocks spring forward today!
March 11th, and loving Venus enters the waters of Pisces. This is an extremely compassionate placement. Where in your life can you and those around you benefit from more compassion?
The waxing Aries Moon carries your new plans forward. By the 13th of March and the Moon’s entry into earthy Taurus, those plans firm up and may expand and change as the Moon meets both Jupiter and Uranus. This is especially true on the 14th. Stay observant.
March 15th and 16th the Gemini Moon helps you put the pieces together. It’s a good time to journal. Write a note – let someone know you love them.
March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. The Sun connects with dreamy Neptune bringing dreams and revelations your way. This is magical and mystical, and much can be ‘downloaded.’ Again, please guard your immune system.
The 18th and 19th the waxing Cancer Moon makes loving angles to the prevailing Pisces energy. Nestle in and love. This is our last water day before the Sun enters Aries late on the 19th.
Spring Equinox late on March 19th carries a full portent of change and new experiences. As we’ve been aware, our governments, world issues, climate change, wars etc., have taken us to dead-end places. We have to be rebirth. We have to choose differently. Let this dynamic moment breathe new life into you. As you know, your inner world mirrors the external one.
March 20th and Mercury and Chiron meet. Such exquisite tenderness! This is a precursor for the upcoming eclipse. If you’re going to the eclipse path, this is the ideal opportunity to get ready.
The Leo Moon carries us boldly into an opposition with feisty Mars on March 21st. What action/s can you take to assert yourself in a non-violent way? Venus meets stern Saturn today – you may have to set boundaries.
Big energy shift on March 22nd as Mars leaves the collective energy of Aquarius for gentle Pisces. Your intuition, always your greatest gift, becomes more animated and insights and inspiration are yours if you would just tune in. Mars stays in Pisces until the end of April.
There’s a partial lunar eclipse on March 25th. This Libra Full Moon shows us the places where we both connect with others and separate from them. What must you do on your own? What is your responsibility? How transformative would independent action feel?
March 26th and 27th tenderness can be felt as the fullish Moon opposes Chiron. Take what you feel and let it inform you. You are worthy! You are loved!
The 28th through to the 30th the Scorpio Moon carries emotional weight. Your body has something to tell you. Are you listening?
The month ends on an optimistic note. We’re fast approaching the New Moon eclipse and a Jupiter/Uranus conjunction. Take what you’ve learned, especially what you’ve felt, and connect deeply to your spiritual strength. This is a heightened psychic time. We’re doing our best to create a better world and it’s beginning to happen.
